Right from my school days… I used to wonder what career to choose??? What course should I choose for my higher studies.., as it was difficult for me to focus on a particular subject…! So we used to consult our parents or seniors in order get Advise, with out
Assessing ourselves and approaching a professional guidance counselor.
And we were always fascinating about different professions and were unable to decide or reach a conclusion…!
Although you take parents and seniors advise, which is one of the good options,I feel it is must for oneself to do a self analysis or a parent to do an Assessment or an analysis on their children as to what are there Interests, Intelligence quotient, Personality, and Skills. And take a psychologists, help when required.
For that matter, some of you who are working professional might be thinking of opting for a career change, or a particular skill set change…!,
So friends here are few tips for SelfAssesment:-
1. Set up an appointment with a guidance counselor; they would be better people to explain you as to what is goal setting? And how to reach them.

Do a self Assessment on your personality, your personality trait would determine as to what career u can choose for example:-
a) Are you shy or out going
b) Patient or impulsive
c) Good with children or adult
d) Good with Animals or people or machines
e) Pinpoint your Area of interest.
This might be little difficult at times to analyze at a deeper séance, for this you can take professional help, where they have different personality Assessment tools based on Age, and other categories which would be easier in assessing your personality.
Or if that is out of reach to you, you can assess your self by listing down the points on a sheet of paper. After all…. No one knows you better than yourself…!

c) Do you like to take mental challenges like chess or
d) Do you like writing?
e) What are your Hobbies???
Answers to these questions tell a lot about you..! And your personality and this is important to know, when you start thinking about your future…!
Another way to know your interest is by visiting a psychologist they have different inventories based on Age, Profession and other categories. Which would help you in a great deal?

d) Do your friends or family members contact you if they have some hard ware or software problem in their computer?
e) Or do they contact you if there is some electric or network problem at home?
Beyond knowing this by yourself…. You can contact a professional and take up aptitude test. Or if you are already working and you want Assessment in choosing a different technical skill or a different vector of the organization you can consult you Industrial Psychologist.
5. Research:-
