When the user starts inhaling, the air flow is detected by a sensor. A microprocessor then activates an atomizer, which converts the diluted nicotine into vapor, and this is inhaled by the user. The addition of propylene glycol to the liquid makes the mist resemble more like normal cigarette smoke. The microprocessor also activates an orange LED at the tip to simulate real smoking.

The vapor evaporates soon, causing no irritation to people near the smoker, so no danger of passive smoking. There is no smoke or tar deposited in your lungs, and fingers don't smell of nicotine either, No Tar, No Carbon Monoxide, No harmful side effects, No Ash sub or smoke….!

E-cigarettes generally use a rechargeable battery as a power source. Battery life varies between devices, with some lasting a day between charges, and others lasting a week. Each nico-filter cartridge is equivalent to 30 cigarettes. At a time when smoking is banned at public places, electronic cigarette can be smoked anywhere.

The product was originally developed in China, and now is also available in India for Rs 2000, which includes lithium batteries, charger, atomizer and cartridges. It seems a good alternative to cut down on smoking or quit completely.
