Home remedies’ for common Cold:--
As children I remember each time I fell ill my father used to prepare a tea, which he used to make us drink, and trust me it did really work…!Here goes recipe for this simple homemade ginger tea which is highly beneficial to get temporary relief for sore throat; cough and, common cold:-
1. 20 pepper corns;
3 inch long fresh ginger cut piece;
½ a table spoon of cumin seeds
And a pinch or 2 of Molasses (Jaggery);
3 table spoon of Milk
2 Tumbler cold water;
Add pepper, ginger, cumin seeds and molasses in to a vessel and boil it until the water reduces to half of its quantity, after it is done filter the the juice / tea Now add 3 table spoon of Milk and drink it hot…! For this to be effective.
2. Crush 8 pepper corns; Add 4 drops of ginger juice mix it with 1 table spoon of Honey and drink it (Repeat it 3 to 4 times a day)
3. Steam Inhalation:- add a pinch or 2 Vicks to boiling water and inhale the steam…! This clears congested nose and lungs, helps the phelm come out and cleanses your sinus and lungs.
4. Before going to bed drink a warm cup of milk with a pinch of turmeric, this helps in speedy recovery from cold and this also makes you sleep better…!
5 Gargle twice a day with a glass of hot water and a table spoon of salt in it, this clears the throat.
6. Home Remedy for stomach burn: -
A Big glass of Butter milk with a pinch of asophetoda (Hieng ) ; few flakes of fresh cilantro ; and salt and drink, this can be used even in times of Diarrhea to neutralize the acidity in stomach and Keeps you hydrated.
7. Home Remedy for Acidity:-
Early in the morning in an empty stomach swallow 1 pod of garlic with a glass of warm water, this also eliminates constipation and keeps your cholesterol level low.
8. Drink a glass of cold milk, this cures Acidity.
